A Case for Innovation: New Products Generate $21 Billion In Sales


Brands need to continuously innovate in order to be seen as relevant, forward-thinking and on the cutting edge of new technologies.  To the consumer, this ultimately indicates greater benefits and, if communicated properly, greater loyalty.  Much of the innovation over the past 18 months, however, has been private label and minor branded line extensions.  Brands need to keep innovating or else the recent private label share gains will continue.  Great article by Neilsen.  New Products Generate $21 Billion In Sales In 2008 | Nielsen Wire.
